How we use Dynamic Voting

In much the same way that professional polsters estimate the voting in a political election, we can estimate who will ultimately win a category with a high degree of certainty after the first 100 votes have been cast.

Because of this, those who voted for a current leader are awarded a provisional extra point for the win based on projections.

However, voting is not final until a category is closed, and, in the case where our projections need to be amended, vote totals will be adjusted accordingly.

The Goal

The goal is to allow as many members a chance to vote in as many categories as possible before closing each category. And, in so doing, give our competitors the widest degree of exposure we can offer.

Leader Boards

Our Leader Boards give a current tally of dynamic votes. However, in the case of competitors voting for themselves, it would be easy for a judge to beat the system by monitoring the winning votes, and simply vote for the work that shows their creators winning their vote. For that reason, until the end of the judging cycle, all competitors will be displayed as winning their category and receiving the extra vote.
